Introduction

The idea is to create a platform that can be attached to a Roomba to turn it into a multi-functional robot.

The Roomba has a serial connector that allows it to be controlled, with a protocol that is very well documented by iRobot.

The applications are numerous:

  • improvement of the cleaning path ;
  • use as a small play robot ;
  • experimentation under ROS ;
  • ...

The advantage is that it is not intrusive: the platform can be connected and disconnected very easily, without damaging the Roomba!
